Volunteering
Interested in volunteering? Passionate about your faith? Interested in working with communities?
Kirklees Faiths Forum is happy to offer flexible and exciting volunteering opportunities for committed, passionate individuals who want to help us with our work.
Our volunteers help us in many ways, for example:
- Hosting faith centre visits at your place of worship for groups of 20-30 adults, delivering a bespoke ‘learning package’ developed by Kirklees Faiths Forum in consultation with yourself, providing a tour and opportunities for visitors to ask questions and learn about your faith
- Designing flyers and other promotional materials for Kirklees Faiths Forum events and activities
- Photographing events and activities for Kirklees Faiths Forum's promotional use
- Volunteering to speak about your faith or other topics at dialogue events
- Supporting with the planning, organisation and delivery of events and activities
- Writing press releases, preparing reports and other written tasks
- And more!
If you would like to share your time, knowledge and skills with us we would love to hear from you!
No formal qualifications are needed – all we ask for is passion and some basic knowledge about your faith and/or community, a commitment to the principles of interfaith work, community cohesion and equality and diversity - and whatever skills you can bring! Volunteering is open to everyone, can fit around your schedule, and all expenses will be reimbursed.
To apply, please download and complete an application form, and an equality monitoring form.
Feel free to call us or drop by if you have any questions or would like help filling in your application form.
